About Our Firm
Fontaine Alissi is a progressive, mid-sized, AV peer rated, law firm. Our team consists of seven attorneys, three paralegals (including a nurse paralegal), and appropriate support staff. The firm was established in 2001 when our founding partners, Craig Fontaine and Jim Alissi, came from larger and older Hartford law firms. We focus our practice on litigation in state court, federal court, and before various state administrative agencies. The firm also has significant experience with alternate dispute resolution (ADR), both mediation and arbitration, when that approach is warranted and appropriate.
Several of our attorneys have been retained to represent clients in other states in serious exposure claims by admission pro hac vice, including in New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Florida, and Maine. Unlike many attorneys who litigate but rarely get to trial, our partners regularly try cases to verdict and relish the opportunity to utilize our strategy and trial skills to benefit our clients. We utilize the same thoughtful approach to pre-trial discovery and motion practice and always adhere to the highest ethical standards. Our location in Hartford, CT, allows convenient access to all of Connecticut's judicial districts and all seats of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.
Our skill and experience in appellate practice in both state and federal courts, combined with our trial experience, make us an excellent choice when considering appellate representation.
The firm's mission has remained constant - to deliver the highest quality legal representation. We pride ourselves in earning the confidence and trust of our clients as a result of our approach to litigation and our ability to understand our clients' needs. Good communication coupled with sound legal advice allows us to build and maintain mutual trust and respect with our clients. Dedicated and resourceful, we are proud of the reputation we have achieved.
