Beverly Knapp Anderson - Partner

Beverly Knapp Anderson has been in private practice for over 30 years. She is a graduate of Sacred Heart University, summa cum laude, and the University Of Connecticut School Of Law, with high honors, where she was a member and a Notes and Comments Editor of the Connecticut Law Review.

She was admitted to the Connecticut bar in 1984, and also is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Following law school, she earned a federal clerkship to the Honorable Warren W. Eginton. Attorney Knapp Anderson's practice is currently concentrated in the defense of professional liability and employment law claims. She represents employers in various professional claims brought against them, including discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment and defamation before administrative agencies and in civil actions. In addition to a significant appellate practice, she represents physicians and other health care providers in the defense of medical malpractice claims and in disciplinary and licensing proceedings before the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health. Attorney Knapp also represents attorneys and real estate brokers in the defense of professional liability claims and in licensing proceedings.

Throughout her career, her practice has been devoted exclusively to civil litigation at both the trial and appellate court levels. In addition to malpractice matters, she has significant experience in other types of complex litigation cases including securities fraud, antitrust, employment law and products liability. She has tried a significant number of cases involving serious injuries to verdict, including many medical malpractice actions.

In addition to her state court practice, attorney Knapp has extensive experience in the United States District Court as well as before arbitration panels and mediators. She has briefed and argued cases before the Connecticut Appellate Court, the Connecticut Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. The Connecticut Law Tribune recognized her in its Women in the Law High Achiever section for 2008.
