Julie Dickinson Serving as Associate Editor and Author for Textbook

Julie Dickinson MBA, BSN, RN, LNCC, our Nurse Paralegal, has been chosen as an Associate Editor and author for Legal Nurse Consulting: Principles and Practices 4th Edition, which is published by the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC).

In Volume I (Principles), Julie is editing five chapters which cover the following topics:
Law, standard of care, and liability issues;
History, entry into practice, and certification;
Professionalism, standards of practice and professional performance, ethics, and legal nurse consultant liability;
Screening medical malpractice claims; and
Access to medical records.
In this same volume, Julie is authoring:
Content on ethics in legal nurse consultant practice;
A chapter on locating, screening, and working with expert witnesses.
In Volume II (Practices), Julie is co-authoring chapters on:
Legal nurse consultant practice within a law firm; and
Administrative health law.
Julie has been involved in numerous AALNC committees, taskforces, and projects since joining the association in 2007 and has authored and lectured on a variety of topics for AALNC both locally and nationally. She served for five years on the AALNC Board of Directors, including as President. Julie is board certified in the specialty practice of legal nurse consulting.

AALNC is a non-profit organization that promotes the professional advancement of registered nurses consulting within the legal arena.
